Evening Workshops

Come enjoy a few hours with us while we talk about, and eat, many of the items available at the store - and some that aren’t!

The schedule

Below you’ll find outlines for a few of the courses we offer. These all take place during the evening in the store. There is a 15 person maximum for each class to ensure that we have enough food and time to spend with everyone during the approximate 3 hr duration. You can also book these all for a night at your house! Dates and pricing vary and are listed below. All reservations can be booked in person or over the phone (410-571-3060).

Pig Butchery

Come enjoy a night of butchery! I get a beautiful Berkshire ½ pig and butcher it in the round with just a boning knife. During the butchery I’ll talk about what I’m doing, what cuts and parts are good for what kinds of dishes, what to look for while shopping for pork, and so much more. $75

The cost this workshop includes drinks and snacks! The next night of this will be March 26, 2026 at 7:30

Bacon class!

This is possibly the most well attended workshop. While you’re enjoying some snacks and refreshment, I’ll briefly discuss the cultural history of bacon before we launch into a talk about the chemistry and math of bacon. After, you’ll get your own 2.5 pound slab of bacon, salt it, and season it as you like with any of the spices in our kitchen! The belly is yours to take and we vacuum seal it for you. $80

This worshop includes snacks and drinks. The next workshop will be April 9, 2026

Steak workshop

Come cook and eat 4 kinds of steak with us! There’s always a theme too, and lots of exposition about the chemistry of steak and cooking and eating steak. $80

This course includes other snacks to compliment the steaks and theme, and drinks. The next night will be April 2, 7:30pm
